Were do we Run
Have a look at the interactive maps HERE
Mob runs are just a leisurely run together were we simply set off and people break into groups depending on how fast you want to run.
Distances are between 3, 5 or 10 km each week
The biggest fear in new members is being too slow and getting left behind or not actually “being a runner”. Our members are wide ranging in ability from a slow stroll to the speedy. You wont be left behind.
Within the season we run a series of handicap events electronically timed, This is a staggered start, usually 5 km and allows anyone to compete. Its also a great event we run down in front of the entertainment center on the waters edge, after we meet at the club we walk to this location together. Again any ability welcome.
Some events need to cater for those who need to sprint and this is it.Members wear a timing chip and all start together. You can run this to win or simply aim for your own personal best or simply to flush the lungs and puff a little. You can still go slowly if you want.
Every Saturday there is a longer run offered. We meet at Cafez 20 Prinsep St Bunbury at 6 am year round. We say minimum of 1.5 hrs, but there usually is a few groups that break off between a 1 hr walk, 10 k run to a 16 km run. Depending on who comes along. During marathon training some venture far beyond in distance.
Every Tuesday 6 am Year round Doug runs a intervals session at the club. Each week the format varies but the same club format applies in that every ability is catered for. Great for anyone who wants a little more speed or a solid training session.
